چکیده
ABSTRACT Hymenolepiasis is the most common intestinal tapeworm infection in humans caused by an cestode, Hymenolepis nana. Praziquantel (PZQ) effective drug among other compounds, however, many cases of resistance have been reported. Recent research projects focused on finding novel therapeutic agents from medicinal plants. In present study, Aaronsohnia factorovskyi was used against hymenolepiasis forms plant extract (AF) and biosynthesized nanoparticles (AF-NPs) comparison to PZQ. The results showed that 100 mg/kg AF 0.5 AF-NPs were doses at suppressing fecal egg output 98.39% 100%, respectively. After 10th day treatment, it not feasible detect presence H. nana eggs sample’s examination group. Upon treatment with AF-NPs, there more improvements structure tissue than effect alone comparison, Collectively, A. factoryviski can be as anti-hymenolepiasis minimum side effects less cost. Also, found NPs are way, offers a faster recovery rate natural extract.

RATIONALE There is evidence that parasitic helminths can ameliorate colitis in animal models and humans. Although infections with Hymenolepis sp. are clinically benign, the immunomodulatory interactions between host and parasite are largely unknown. PATIENT CONCERNS In this study we examined the intestinal mucosa of an adult asymptomatic patient harboring adult and larval dwarf tapeworms (Hym...

BACKGROUND Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are increasingly being used in medical applications. Therefore, cost effective and green methods for generating AgNPs are required. OBJECTIVES This study aimed towards the biosynthesis, characterisation, and determination of antimicrobial activity of AgNPs produced using Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853. METHODS Culture conditions (AgNO3 concentratio...

BACKGROUND Although many experimental studies provide convincing evidence that type II immunity is protective against helminths, recent data in mice demonstrate that Th1 is also important in some cestodes like Hymenolepis nana. OBJECTIVES To identify the role of Th1 and Th2 lymphocytes in immunity against H. nana, the levels of IL-12, IFNgamma, IL-5, and IL-13 were determined in serum of huma...
